Job Description
- Highland Hospital is seeking a Full Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its Wilmot Cancer Service team. Candidates for this role would work Monday - Friday @ Highland Hospital, Days. Candidates for this role would also be a part of our Holiday rotation which would require 3 or 4 holidays worked per year.
Inpatient medical oncology practice
- Primary coverage of 12-16 inpatient solid tumor oncology patients with HH Geriatrics Hospitalist and Wilmot Cancer Institute attendings.
- Daily pre-rounding and daily IDT rounds on unit
- Admit, discharge, and coordinate care of patients in close collaboration with attendings and interdisciplinary team
- Respond to and triage acute events
$98,000.00 - $126,235.00 annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements
- Education: Adult, family or geriatric NP or Physician Assistant; Fulfilled the requirements to be a licensed NP or PA in NYS.
- Experience: Oncology, inpatient care, geriatrics, and/or palliative care experience preferred
- License/Certification Required: Currently registered New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse or Registered Physician Assistant with Certification and current DEA registration, BLS certified
- Skills: Demonstrated excellence in written and spoken communication, particularly with complex chronic medical disease, end of life issues, and complicated family systems.
