Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and courteous Transport Driver to join our team. The Transport Driver will be responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other destinations as required. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a compassionate attitude towards our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport residents to and from various destinations, including medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social events.
- Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of residents and other road users.
- Provide excellent customer service, treating residents with respect, kindness, and patience.
- Communicate effectively with nursing home staff to coordinate transportation schedules and resident needs.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
- Valid [State] driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
