What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field QA Technician position at Highlands Energy?
Job Summary:
As the QA Technician you will be primarily responsible for ensuring top quality by evaluating in-process jobs, identify incomplete imperfections, and inspect finished product done by weatherization specialists to pass PG&E standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Successfully complete required training (per Quality Assurance Technician Training Plan) before beginning work and all other training as stated in the Quality Assurance Technician Training Plan
- Identify quality condition by conducting in-process and completed work inspections
- Determine disposition of quality by analyzing and judging product acceptability in comparison to specifications
- Maintain product quality documentation system by documenting their findings from QA inspections on QA Checklist(s) and Report forms
- Able to make minor corrections and repairs in homes inspected
- Maintain quality assurance operations by following quality assurance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes and assisting in creating training programs
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Participate in all training sessions/meetings
- Score a minimum of 98% on all training exams administered by the Directory of Training and Development and adheres to Quality Assurance Technician Training Plan
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations (including vehicle maintenance schedule and cleanliness policies)
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Report to work prepared and on time
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver License
- Must clear a Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to go into attics and confined spaces.
- 2 years’ experience in the construction or energy services industry
- Must be able to promote process improvement, document skills of others, manage processes, and quality management.
- Must be computer literate, experience with Outlook and Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to make minor corrections in homes
- Quality review experience
- Detail orientated and organized
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, reach, push, pull, walk, climb, crawl, and climb ladders. The employee may also on occasion be required to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
