Primary Duties / Responsibilities :
- Lead a small team of specialists to collect required data and necessary approvals for all things related to the right-of-way where Highline’s network construction is planned.
- Utilize contractor resources to adhere to project deadlines.
- Oversee and help obtain permit approval for all of Highline’s projects in Michigan. This includes various road jurisdictions, municipalities, pole owners, railroad companies, National Forest offices, etc.
- Oversee all private right-of-entry permission activity for Highline’s projects in Michigan. This includes private roads, private utility easements, homeowner’s associations (“HOA’s) or related, individual property owners as the project requires, and Department of Natural Resources (“DNR”), etc.
- Manage and maintain a detailed permit project tracker.
- Manage permit storage system to ensure all pertinent documents are easily able to be located by anybody requiring them on the Highline project.
- Maintain database of permit standards, requirements and contacts for any entity related to Highline’s projects.
- Lead project meetings with various permit entities for project starts or on a regular basis if necessary.
- Assist with creating of GIS based polygons to outline permit structure for a project based on its design and ensure that the list of those generated is presented to engineering for permit drafting.
- Provide field staking for permit applications when needed or required by permitting entity.
- Oversee contractor invoicing; ensure that all information is documented accurately and processed in a timely manner.
- Work with rest of construction team to ensure that any repairs, restoration, or quality items are addressed before billing is processed unless otherwise approved by Director.
- Assist Director and GIS team to validate newly serviceable homes passed by network construction activity.
- All other duties as assigned.
