HIGHLY is seeking a Regional Manager who is a driven leader with a passion for retail operations and team development. The ideal candidate would have demonstrated excellence in sales, customer service and operational efficiency. This position, based in Southern Maine, reports to the General Manager and is expected to work independently to supervise retail operations as assigned. The Regional Managers’ responsibilities include training and developing staff, assisting with administrative tasks, maintaining accurate inventory, operating in compliance with state/local laws and organizational standards. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of management experience in the recreational cannabis industry, demonstrated success in staff development, a strong work ethic and professionalism.
Inventory Management Expectations
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly physical inventory audits against inventory tracking system, investigate discrepancies, make inventory adjustments, and maintain employee accountability
- Minimize threats and diversion by ensuring security protocols are being followed
Administrative Expectations
- Weekly scheduling and working with the General Manager to review/manage workload and staffing
- Administrative tasks such as onboarding and reporting
- Review and submit weekly time sheets
- Oversee customer intake and identification processes in compliance with state laws and company protocols
Staff Support & Development Expectations
- Take an active role in interviewing, training and disciplining staff
- Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations in conjunction with the General Manager
- Train retail staff at all levels and identify opportunities for continued staff development
- Cover shifts as needed for vacations, illness, etc.
- Directly manage retail staff including delegating staff responsibilities and conflict resolution
Leadership Expectations
- Maintain professional appearance, positive attitude and model good habits for staff
- Facilitate store organization and cleanliness to ensure a welcoming, safe atmosphere for team and customers
- Demonstrate professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and discretion as required
- Foster an environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork
- Ensure a positive customer experience and customer retention, resolve any complaints under the supervision of the General Manager
- Upholding company standards and enforcement of company policies to include disciplinary actions, when necessary and as directed
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Minimum 2-3 years Retail Management experience in the recreational cannabis industry
· Possession of a valid Individual Identification Card from the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy
· Thorough knowledge of the cannabis industry and local and state laws and regulations pertaining to recreational cannabis in Maine
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills required
· Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Office Applications, Google Suite and POS software
· Ability to quickly master functions within inventory tracking systems & point of sale systems
· Exceptional math skills
· Demonstrated cash handling and deposit auditing experience
· Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for proper management of retail store, which may include extended periods of standing, sitting, lengthy typing and reading, lifting, carrying, and holding boxes up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.
