The Opportunity:

Highnote is looking to hire a contract recruiter. You will partner with our C-suite and functional leaders to build out our teams as we rapidly scale. You will build relationships with talent in the market, assess talent, provide candidates with an amazing experience and advise our hiring managers on talent decisions. Recruiting great people is key to the continued success of Highnote and you will be responsible for adding to our outstanding team!

Some of the things you'll own and drive:

  • Partner closely with key internal stakeholders to understand each business function and advise on talent needs
  • Source and screen candidates and execute on hiring goals for 2025
  • Develop inclusive sourcing strategies to build a robust pipeline for each role
  • Build relationships and attract both passive and active candidates by sharing the unique opportunity to grow one's career with Highnote as the company rapidly scales
  • Lead initial candidate assessment to qualify talent for open positions
  • Build and share knowledge on the talent market of target companies, skills and experience for each of our functions
  • Provide candidates with support and guidance throughout the interview process to ensure a positive experience
  • Regularly track hiring progress to share with internal stakeholders and utilize to improve recruiting performance.

Who you are:

We encourage candidates of all backgrounds and experiences to apply, but we expect a successful candidate will have:

  • 4 years of technical recruiting experience with ideally a startup or an in-house recruiting team.
  • Experience managing the end to end search process, including building relationships with candidates.
  • An entrepreneurial and 'getting-things-done' mindset focused on delivering results
  • A strategic, collaborative, and inclusive approach
  • Strong communication and talent advisory skills
  • Ownership mindset - caring about seeing projects through from start to finish.

  • At Highnote we have built a total rewards philosophy that includes fair, equitable, geo-based compensation that is performance and potential based. In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual hourly rate for applicants is $50-60/hour.

Please note that positions located in San Francisco are hybrid and include core working days of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office. We provide flexible work options based on distance from our downtown SF office. Highnote believes in the power of face-to-face, personal connection. As a result, we prioritize in-person candidates.
