An experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN-Psychiatric PRN) provides high-quality patient care by implementing the nursing process in accordance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers medications as prescribed by physicians and documents patient care.
- Maintains accurate records of patient conditions, treatments, and progress.
- Collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure effective treatment and support for patients.
- Educates patients on their conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients in a psychiatric setting.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, or RN Diploma required.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in a stressful environment.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months.
- Current TN or Multi-State RN licensure.
- Six months to one year experience working with psychiatric/behavioral patients.
