Job Overview
The Associate Manufacturing Engineer will primarily be focused on creating and implementing process improvements and strategies to optimize manufacturing efficiency. This includes sustaining, continuous improvement, and new product introduction efforts to scale with the dynamic workload. They will also be working together with the technician workforce to provide production floor support, as well as being a cross-functional resource to liaison between operations and other engineering teams to ensure communication and compliance across all facets of manufacturing.

Job Overview
The Associate Manufacturing Engineer will primarily be focused on creating and implementing process improvements and strategies to optimize manufacturing efficiency. This includes sustaining, continuous improvement, and new product introduction efforts to scale with the dynamic workload. They will also be working together with the technician workforce to provide production floor support, as well as being a cross-functional resource to liaison between operations and other engineering teams to ensure communication and compliance across all facets of manufacturing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Evaluate production process flow and implement work instructions and training to increase build efficiency and quality.
- Create fixturing/tooling to support increasing production to scale with demand.
- Provide detailed feedback to Engineering and other cross-functional teams during design reviews.
- Support production build and testing, ensure device and system readiness for handover to Robotic Automation Engineers.
- Help drive sustaining and continuous improvement efforts for projects focused on manufacturing and manufacturability.
- Shadow Senior and Principal Engineers on New Product Introduction projects.
- Work with Quality to decrease NCMR and other CAPA related issues.
- Report on KPI, OKR, and other monthly metrics for management.
- Support cost reduction initiatives by investigating material costs, manufacturing and machining processes, and being conscious of lead time and quality impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 0-2 years experience working with mechanical assemblies.
- SolidWorks 2023 or similar CAD program knowledge base.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic working environment, while being involved in multiple projects at a time.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Experience using ERP/PLM software, Dynamics 365/Bluestar PLM experience is a plus
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Role is onsite full time with the potential for up to 10% travel locally or internationally.
- Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting, such as the ability to clearly understand and interpret schematics.
- Exposure to GD&T best practices.
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma background.
- DFX/DFMA mindset to support ongoing Sustaining and NPI efforts.
- Robotics/Automation background.
