About the Role
The Head of Global IT & Enterprise Applications is a high-impact leadership role reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Acting in a similar capacity to global CIO, this role oversees IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and technology strategy, with a focus on cost efficiency, scalability, and security. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, public company rigor, and AI strategy while managing globally distributed teams. They will also be ready to roadmap the necessary resources to build an effective function that balances business value and cost effectiveness.
What You'll Do
Global IT Leadership:
- Oversee IT operations globally, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure IT systems.
- Align IT infrastructure and strategy with the company’s growth objectives, including public company readiness in the coming years.
Enterprise Applications Oversight:
- Manage Enterprise Applications leader. Provide guidance/oversight on strategy, implementation, and optimization of enterprise applications, with a focus on NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, Ramp, and other modern tools.
- Ensure seamless integration and efficiency across enterprise systems to support business needs.
Cost Optimization and Budget Ownership:
- Own the IT budget, including all corporate applications, and ensure investments are made strategically.
- Negotiate with vendors to drive down software costs while maximizing value.
- Drive improved efficiency through hiring and developing talent in lower cost geographies.
Public Company Readiness:
- In the coming years, prepare the organization for public company standards, including establishing and maintaining a public company control environment.
- Support interactions with the audit committee and external auditors as needed.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and scale globally distributed IT and enterprise application teams, with a significant presence in India.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
AI Strategy Leadership:
- Be a key driver of the company’s AI usage strategy, focusing on equipping the business with new capabilities that enable operational efficiency, effectiveness, and controls.
Security and Compliance:
- Collaborate with the Chief Security Officer to ensure a secure IT environment.
- Lead compliance initiatives to maintain SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications.
- Play a key role in compliance audits, incident responses, and collaborate on risk management strategies for IT and Enterprise systems.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute a global IT and enterprise applications roadmap aligned with company goals.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies to provide competitive advantages and improve operational efficiencies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with leaders across Finance, HR, Security, and other functions to deliver integrated and scalable IT solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on technology and enterprise application strategies.
Global Presence and Travel:
- Oversee operations in global regions, including North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, with occasional travel to India.
\n- 12 years of IT and enterprise applications leadership experience, with SaaS or B2B software background preferred.
- Proven success managing globally distributed teams, particularly in scaling operations in low-cost geographies (India experience strongly preferred).
- Expertise with NetSuite, Workday, and modern enterprise applications like Coupa and Ramp.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of driving down software costs.
- Experience in public company environments or preparing organizations for public company readiness.
- Deep understanding of IT security principles and risk management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in fast-paced, scaling organizations.
- A passion for significant exploration of AI technologies and how it might be applied in driving operational efficiency and overall effectiveness.
- Experience working with audit committees, external auditors, and regulatory compliance.
- Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Base salary range: $198,261 - $297,391. Employees may also be eligible for bonuses, stock options, and other forms of compensation.
The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
