What You'll Do:
The Accounting Specialist position is responsible for assisting the Finance/Accounting department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.
- Processes and reconciles commission downloads and manually key statements with automatic downloads from carriers.
- Reviews commissions statements for accuracy.
- Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, forward information to appropriate locations.
- Process invoices and generate payments for accounts payables. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Assists all locations with accounting.
- Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Develops and implements proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
- Performs other functions as assigned by management.
- Reports to the Director of Finance of the organization.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
An Associates degree and one year of accounting/finance experience.
