Primarily responsible for inputting data, processing transactions, and supporting the accounting function. Assist accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for the Company and all managed properties. This role has growth potential that can evolve and grow to support a long-term career.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Position Location: In the Lincoln, Nebraska office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Input and validate job cost expenses from subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and employees.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly construction draws and ensure appropriate project-level accounting in collaboration with our bank partners.
- Process and send payments to other non-construction vendors.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic progress and final billings to customers and general contractors.
- Post payments from customers to appropriate job billings.
- Generate relevant financial reports as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
DIRECT SUPERVISER:
This position reports to the Corporate Controller and will work alongside other accountants and office administrators.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of two years’ experience preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn NetSuite and Procore,
- Working knowledge of real estate related contracts, construction accounting, and transaction procedures common in the industry preferred, but not required
- Personal traits of a high-level of commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty and integrity, and a demonstration of placing others in a place of high value.
- Ability to communicate professionally in various forms with customers, associates and the general public, and ability to contribute to a strong team culture.
