What you'll do : Summary / Objective
Under the general direction of the regional Operations Lead and the Great Plains President, the Operations Director is responsible for agency planning, system administration, training and development of all Great Plains office locations. The Operations Director will serve as a liaison between agency staff and ownership.
Essential Functions

- Agency Development : Using experience, work with various agency locations focusing on operational growth and development opportunities.
- Facilitate onboarding for new Great Plains agency acquisitions on systems, processes and services.
- Assist with new employee orientation, training and development.
- Work with existing staff to improve policies and procedures in support of organizational goals.
- Assist in formulating best practices to maximize output.
- Bring a high degree of insurance knowledge and experience.
- Provide coaching and feedback to agencies on their prospecting and marketing plans.
- Gain a firm understanding of agency systems including Applied Epic, Epic Quotes, Indio, Zywave, Sharefile, Sharepoint, etc.
- Assist Location Managers in evaluating and determining staffing needs.
- Assist in Strategic Planning, provide input on organizational strategy / direction.
- Meeting and webinar participation.
- Attend insurance company meetings. Review company materials and products and distribute information to Great Plains President and staff as needed.
- Responsible for working collaboratively with others (internally and externally) to achieve company objectives, goals and results.
- Attend off-site meetings as needed.
- Other duties as directed.
Competencies
Required Education
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Preferred Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and four to six years of related experience.
Property and Casualty License.
