Summary: The Operations Development Manager’s primary duties will focus on field operations support, training and development, and new market initiatives. This role encompasses assisting field operations teams, delivering training to new and existing locations, and identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. All responsibilities must be carried out in alignment with the company’s established policies and procedures. The position collaborates closely with the Executive Team, the Managing Director of Equipment Services, the Managing Director of Regional Operations, and the Managing Director of Sales.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Support service center operations, including learning and performing all operational roles with emphasis on equipment planning.
- Effective planning of trailer preps and washes with internal & external vendors
- Efficient planning of drivers to ensure OTD (on-time delivery) standards are met
- Communicate load information and updates to drivers to maintain seamless operations
- Lead training programs for drivers and operations staff
- Monitor and ensure key KPI’s are met including revenue per trailer, truck to trailer ratio, and cleaning processing times.
- Handle special projects assigned by the Vice President of Operations.
- Trailer Management for all types.
- Train Drivers and Operations on specialized services including isocyanates, Iso Containers, transload facilities.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for new initiatives and specialized services to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Support NAE onboarding new customers and business growth.
- Provide market intel on existing and new markets and customers.
- Support market research on viable parking locations and outside tank washes.
- Collaborate with Service Centers to ensure compliance with Responsible Care guidelines and standards.
- Complies with all HTC Safety, Health, Environmental and Security Policy and Programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in transportation operations or related field
- Must have experience in specialty chemicals and services, including isocyanates, transloading facilities, & Iso container.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate.
- Positively interacts with employees to facilitate a positive working relationship.
- Effective problem-solving skills with high analytical skills to evaluate operations and results
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Travel required (50%)
- After-hours and weekend work may be required.
