Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

Location : Maui Community Correctional Center

Job Type : Part-Time Opportunity with HiHealthCare

Pay Rate : $70hr

HiHealthCare is seeking a Part-Time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide essential healthcare services at Maui Community Correctional Center . This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver primary and mental health care in a correctional setting while enjoying flexible scheduling.

Position Details :

  • Location : On-site at Maui Community Correctional Center
  • Commitment : Minimum 3 months, part-time
  • Start Date : As soon as possible (preferred)
  • Licensing & Certifications :

    • Active HI APRN & RN License with Prescriptive Authority

  • DEA & State Controlled Substance Registration
  • BLS Certification
  • Experience : Familiarity with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Opioid Use Disorder preferred but not required

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform health assessments, including routine and urgent care evaluations
  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions, including chronic disease management
  • Prescribe medications and order necessary laboratory tests
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and correctional staff for complex cases
  • Provide health education, counseling, and infection control guidance
  • Report communicable diseases to the Department of Health as needed
