Position Overview
As the Company Controller, you will be the driving force behind all aspects of our financial operations. Reporting directly to the President and collaborating closely with the management team, you will oversee the finance and accounting department, maintain robust internal controls, and ensure regulatory compliance—particularly regarding industry licensing and accounting best practices. Your strategic insight and leadership will help guide the organization’s financial health and support our continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all financial functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
- Analyze financial results and provide strategic recommendations to the President and management team.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department leaders.
- Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and propose corrective actions or improvements.
- Regulatory & Licensing Compliance
- Maintain and monitor compliance for all relevant licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements associated with trailer manufacturing and related brands.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, governmental agencies, and licensing authorities.
- Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the protection of company assets and interests.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members meet departmental goals and objectives.
- ERP & Systems Management
- Oversee and optimize the use of Epicor ERP (or similar software) for accounting and financial reporting.
- Identify areas for process improvement and automation to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
- Strategic Collaboration
- Work closely with the President and management team to evaluate new business opportunities, mergers/acquisitions, and expansion initiatives.
Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and company-wide financial planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, including Controller or similar senior-level roles.
- Proven track record of leading finance and accounting teams, with a strong emphasis on internal controls and compliance.
- Experience with Epicor or other ERP systems is highly advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $117,000.00 per year
