The Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for representing HCMHDDC in activities related to community recovery from the May 2022 Robb Elementary mass shooting tragedy, including, but not limited to
working with a diverse range of stakeholders to build and maintain effective coalitions that advance our organization's goals and objectives. The Community Engagement Coordinator will guide and implement program efforts to engage community stakeholders in Uvalde Recovery Programs work to foster community healing. The Community Engagement Coordinator will translate objectives related to community engagement into programmatic initiatives. The core activities of the position include relationship building, partnership development and maintenance, and coalition building. You will also work closely with coalition partners to develop strategies, build relationships, and facilitate collaboration to achieve common goals.
With the support of the Uvalde Recovery Program Director, the Community Engagement Coordinator will analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of community engagement efforts, develop reports to communicate findings and recommendations, identify and address any barriers or obstacles to community engagement, and stay up to date on local issues, trends, and best practices in community engagement. The Community Engagement Coordinator will also work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities to increase community engagement, create events, and develop programs that promote inclusivity, diversity, and social responsibility.

You will get to:
- Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain coalitions with government agencies, non-government organizations, and private sector organizations
- Develop and maintain relationships with coalition partners, including scheduling meetings, coordinating communications, and tracking progress
- Facilitate coalition meetings and working groups to discuss issues, share information, and develop joint strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop messaging, materials, and tools to support coalition efforts
- Track and analyze coalition progress, identifying areas of success and challenges
- Develop reports and recommendations for senior leadership on coalition activities and outcomes
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and synergy among coalition partners
- Provide support for events, conferences, and other activities that promote coalition goals
- Identify potential coalition partners, allies, and opportunities for collaboration to advance the organization's goals and objectives.
Youll definitely need:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (public policy, public administration, communications, or non-profit management)
- A valid Texas State drivers license
- Current automobile insurance and the ability to travel.

- Negotiate agreements, resolve conflicts, and address issues that arise within the coalition or between coalition members.
- Coordinate communication efforts among coalition members, ensuring timely and effective exchange of information.
- Plan and execute events, meetings, and conferences that bring together coalition members and stakeholders.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of coalition programs and activities, identifying areas for improvement and recommending adjustments.
