Some duties of a night shift caregiver are:
- Know, understand, and uphold Hill Country Youth Ranch's mission statement which is to provide a safe, loving, life-enhancing, Christian environment for children and young adults.
- Supervise residents overnight to ensure their safety and well-being and adjust the level of supervision according to the circumstances and needs of the residents in care.
- Observe physical, mental, and emotional conditions of children. Report and document changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of youth progress and any incidents.
- Work in cooperation with other childcare staff to provide a safe, clean, orderly home for residents in compliance with applicable licensing and accreditation standards.
- Ensure residents have the appropriate clothing, shoes, personal care supplies, and hygiene items needed for morning grooming routine.
- Ensure residents are properly dressed for school.
- Safely transport children to school on school days.
- Ensure all facilities and equipment are clean, organized and maintained.
- Effectively able to complete documentation of nightly duties and communicate with resident care team.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in direct child/youth care or related field preferred
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
- Experience in direct care for individuals with diverse needs
- Ability to complete on-site childcare training program located at the Ingram campus, prior to job placement. Hill Country Youth Ranch provides onsite paid training for selected candidates. Additional details will be provided during application process to all interested applicants.
Job Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must complete The Diana Screen®.
- Must pass criminal background checks and drug screen.
- Must have current TB (tuberculosis) screening or obtain new one.
Education:
Required- Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent
