Position: Lacrosse Coordinator & Coach (ages 3-12)

Hill House runs seasonal athletic programming for players new to advanced, between the ages of 3-13. Indoor and outdoor clinics and leagues are offered after-school during the week with program morning through midday on the weekends.

For fall and spring lacrosse, we primarily run clinics that can include a mix of instructional and scrimmage-style games. These clinics, for both boys and girls, run Sunday afternoons on the Boston Common.

Hill House coaches should be reliable, energetic, and take the initiative whether leading or assisting with a clinic or team to provide a fun and productive session each day. Enthusiasm and helping our players have fun while remaining safe and learning are the main priorities for our staff.

Training throughout the season can be provided.

Program Times

  • Weekend Mandatory -
  • Little Lacrosse (ages 3-5) - 2:15-3:00pm - Sunday
  • Beginner Lacrosse (ages 5-7) - 3:00-3:45pm Sunday
  • Intermediate Lacrosse (ages 7-12) - 3:45-4:30pm Sunday
  • An ideal candidate could lead all programs, and would have knowledge of the game for both girls and boys.

  • Coaches who excel with us can take on additional coaching opportunities outside of the job description.

Season Dates

Our spring season runs from April to June. This position would have the potential of leading and coordinating our lacrosse options going forward.

Program Location

These programs will run on the Boston Common baseball fields throughout the spring.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lacrosse training sessions for youth players, focusing on skill development and teamwork.
  • Teach fundamental techniques and strategies of the game, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Organize and oversee practice sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Foster a positive team culture, encouraging sportsmanship and personal growth among players.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience coaching a must.
  • Strong desire and proven ability to work with children in the specified age groups.
  • Ability to lead activities and supervise groups of players on your own.
  • Ability to relate to players and other staff as part of a team.
  • Strong character including but not limited to a sense of humor, enthusiasm, maturity and patience.
  • Reliability, punctuality and availability throughout each season.
  • Possess unique skills or talents that will bring originality and excitement to the program.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 25 per week
