Hill International is seeking a Sr. Estimator in Los Angeles, California
- Lead and manage a cost estimating team to actively manage the development of independent cost estimate for the CM/GC contractor(s) and overall cost of the project.
- Coordinate with the CM/GC contractor(s) to establish estimating formats, understand risks, evaluate alternative phasing, means and methods and develop a coordinated framework for estimating.
- Review estimates from CM/GC contractor(s) and collaborate with contractor(s) to identify, understand and resolve variances.
- Develop reports and recommendations regarding CM/GC pricing, cost and schedule mitigation strategies and risk management options.
- Plan, organize and participate in negotiations with CM/GC contractor(s) regarding task orders, early work packages and/or guaranteed maximum price/lump sum total contract pricing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- Previous experience on rail / transit heavy civil projects.
- Approximately fifteen (15) years' experience in estimating heavy civil engineering projects of similar size and complexity.
- Experience working for a contractor is preferred.
- Experience on design-bid-build; experience with CM/GC or CMAR delivery models.
- Experience leading negotiations for heavy civil contracts.
- Possess organizational, technical and team building skills to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Must be willing to work onsite at client office in Downtown Los Angeles 5 days a week.
The salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
