About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Animal Caretaker to join our team in Lebanon, CT4. As an Animal Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and health of our animals. You will be expected to provide daily care, including feeding, watering, and cleaning of animal enclosures. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring animal behavior and reporting any concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Your role will be critical in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our animals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with animals in a professional setting
- Knowledge of animal behavior and husbandry practices
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field
- Certification in Animal Care or related field
- Experience with trimming animal hooves and/or beaks
- Knowledge of water quality and filtration systems
- Experience with exotic or large animals
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning of enclosures
- Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to the appropriate supervisor
