What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator - Machine position at Hillandale Gettysburg LP?
Machine Operator : To follow a run sheet which describes what is packed and how it is packed . To replenish packing denesters with empty egg cartons when needed, to change coding equipment as deemed necessary , and to fix minor machine problems when capable . At the end of processing machine operator is to set up machine for operation the next day .
Physical Requirements: Handle a pallet jack and fork lift . Lifting of up to 25lbs (pallets) . Continuous ( up to 8 hours) lifting of egg cartons 100 at a time (approx 9 lbs). Job requires the following movements during the 8 hours : lifting , squatting , turning and twisting . Gloves are provided .
