Hillcrest Health and Living is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Education Specialist to join our team in Bellevue, NE.
The Clinical Education Specialist is responsible for the initial team member clinical competency training and clinical software education, annual and ongoing clinical team member competency training, oversight, management and documentation of initial team member education performed through designated software and collaborating with the clinical leadership team to prepare for regulatory surveys.

What are my responsibilities?
- Assisting with the development and coordinating the clinical education program for Hillcrest Health and Living
- Assisting with the facilitation of education, competencies, and policies and procedures throughout the onboarding process.
- Assisting to ensure that annual competency and education is completed and utilizes all relevant clinical quality improvement initiatives and processes.
- Assisting with ongoing education of team members to ensure that quality care is part of the Hillcrest Health and Living culture and is consistent throughout the entire organization.
- Responsible for maintaining intimate working knowledge of all clinical software applications for facility-based operations.
- Responsible for the management of the Hillcrest Health and Living selected education software utilized to complete team member education ensuring regulatory compliance
- Must be licensed in the state of Nebraska or compact state as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA) required ·
- BLS training certification must be completed within 6 months of hire
- At least five years’ experience in health care
- Previous clinical education or staff development experience preferred
- Experience with quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) processes in a long-term care, post-acute care and/or acute care setting preferred
- STAR mentality (Selfless, Tough, Accountable, Respectful).
- Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Windows and MS Office.
