About the Role:
Hillcrest Medical Center seeks a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate all routine radiographic equipment safely and proficiently, ensuring optimal image quality and minimizing repeat procedures.
- Produce high-quality radiographs with minimal repeats, demonstrating expertise in positioning and technique.
- Effectively handle multiple room assignments and various exam types, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Supervise student radiographers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the field.
- Assist with telephone scheduling procedures and operate the PACS computer system, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology training program in a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA.
- Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience as an X-Ray Tech is preferred, but not mandatory for the right candidate.
