About the Role
The CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System is responsible for preparing equipment, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing top-notch patient care during cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent assessment skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to ongoing education and training.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, preparing and positioning patients for care.
- Maintain a sterile environment, adhering to strict protocols.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in orientation and training programs.
Our Cath Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and we work closely with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to deliver comprehensive cardiovascular care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required within six months of hire.
