As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on our Med Surg - Wound Care team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients and contribute to their recovery journey.
Responsibilities
- Under moderate supervision, perform various duties that support the delivery of patient care, including assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living.
- Observe patients' progress and prepare reports for the Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
- Collect vital signs and specimens for lab tests, and provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
- Measure and record patients' intake and output, assist with range of motion, and draw blood samples.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- BLS certification essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
- CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
