Our school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Services Director to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all students, including those with diverse learning needs, receive the support and resources necessary for their academic and personal growth in a Torah-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Coordinate and implement student support services, including academic accommodations, counseling, Title Funding, IU testing, and special education programs.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and outside specialists to develop individualized learning plans for students.
Supervise a team of support specialists, working with students in all subject areas, from English and math, to Chumash and Kriah.
Monitor student progress and provide ongoing support to ensure success.
Advocate for students within the school community, ensuring their needs are met.
Facilitate communication between the school administration, faculty, and families to address any concerns or challenges related to student well-being.
Lead professional development initiatives related to student support for faculty and staff.
Provide one-on-one or group interventions when necessary, especially in the areas of social-emotional learning and behavioral support.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
Experience in student support services or special education.
Knowledge of best practices for supporting students with learning differences and emotional needs.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Sensitivity to the values, culture, and customs of our Jewish community.
Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred but not required).
