What You’ll Do
- Conduct a comprehensive evaluation across OSU Hillel’s current social media channels and conversations with students to develop a strategic social media plan.
- Prioritize social media channels that will most effectively reach students and develop a platform-specific approach to optimize OSU Hillel’s presence.
- Create and curate engaging content, including graphics, videos, photography, and written posts, ensuring alignment with OSU Hillel’s mission and brand identity.
- Capture live event content for digital storytelling, including photography and videography.
- Build an asset library and leverage those assets across multiple platforms.
- Monitor and actively engage with online communities, responding to comments and messages in a timely and authentic manner.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics, using insights to optimize reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with student leaders and staff to promote events, programs, and initiatives.
- Train staff and student leaders to effectively capture content, including photos and videos, and delegate responsibilities when appropriate.
- Stay informed about emerging digital trends and best practices to keep OSU Hillel’s social media presence innovative and relevant.
- A creative and strategic thinker with a passion for social media and digital engagement.
- A natural storyteller who can translate organizational values into compelling content with a focus on maintaining brand standards and visual continuity.
- A proactive communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment that center’s the student voice.
- Someone who understands the importance of fostering a strong and inclusive Jewish community.
- Someone who is committed to maintaining a dynamic online presence and can leverage digital relationships as connection opportunities with students and stakeholders.
- Someone who is devoted to trying new things, learning from their mistakes, and implementing feedback quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, analytics tools, and content creation software (ex: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, Meta, etc).
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience with photography, video production, and graphic design is a plus.
- Experience with SEO or familiarity with advertising techniques is a plus.
- Understanding of the college student demographic and Jewish community engagement is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.
- Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace with start date of July 1, 2025.
- The salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000.
- This role is in-person. Candidates residing in Ohio are encouraged to apply.
