Total Tech is looking to hire a HVAC Instructor.
Job Summary:
The instructor's position available is for our HVAC Residential Service Course. The course is designed to prepare a novice for a quick transition to HVAC service work as well as filling gaps in the seasoned professional knowledge. This individual will be an assistant to the lead instructor. The assistant will primarily be responsible for the hands-on lab portion of the course but will be required to learn the classroom theory and procedures as well. Below are the primary daily duties of the lab instructor.
Responsibilities:
- Trains and instructs students on HVAC fundamentals.
- Responsible for teaching student’s proper procedures and methods of the trade.
- Works with a lead instructor to develop and perpetually improve curriculum.
- Evaluates students and identifies students in need of additional instruction to succeed in the course.
- Plans and implements daily lab instruction and hands-on student assignments.
- On occasion work with the other trade departments to accomplish projects.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- 3 years residential or commercial HVAC field experience Required.
- Knowledge of HVAC installation and repair.
- Comfortable speaking in front groups.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Motivated, self-starter who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure student success.
- Must be able to use a computer tablet.
- A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
