Position Summary :
To help achieve Hiller Plumbing Heating Cooling and Electrical (Company) strategic objective and annual goals through the delivery of exceptional service and support reflective of the Company's vision, mission, purpose, and values to be America's Best Technicians.
Responsibilities :
Create a care culture.Create a positive customer experience by ensuring all team members are properly trained to complete the install correctly the first time with quality, care, and to applicable codes to avoid refunds and recalls.Mentor apprentices under his / her care to achieve the desired performance metrics.Achieve budgeted HVAC installations, revenue and gross margin.Oversee technicians are thorough and accurate in completing install inspections, Health & Safety Checklists, and communicating findings to the customer using a written option sheet.Proper use of down tag.Ensure technicians understand when to issue a "Lock Out / Tag Out" and the required follow-up steps.Manage install personnel to include performance evaluations, training needs, and work assignments to ensure effective operations.Evaluate workload and scheduled to maximize production.Ensure every install performed is completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.Oversee the technicians are keeping their trucks clean, stocked, and accurately inventoried.Ensure the technicians are protecting the customer's home from damage while working and leaving the customer's home cleaner than when the technician arrived.Assist in resolving customer complaints to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.Perform on-site job inspections.Consistently provide accurate True Transparency pricing in advance of starting any work.Be available for overtime and on-call status to respond immediately to HVAC emergencies.Ensure each team member completes job to Hiller performance standards appropriate codes and customer satisfaction.Complete weekly truck inspections.Ensure the team manages appropriate inventory of parts required for installs.Coordinate with other departments to ensure appropriate job objectives are met effectively and completely.Support Install Technicians on troubleshooting issues as needed.Accountable for team performance and progress toward company goals.Responsible for the interview and selection process of install team leads, technicians and apprentice candidates.Manage to performance metrics scorecard.Train, coach, and mentor team leads, technicians and apprentices.Investigate and resolve all reported safety issues.Resolve any issues involving missing and / or damaged tools and any vehicle malfunction.Communicate the benefits of Club Memberships.Protect and Grow Company Assets and Reputation of the Company.Perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements :
EPA Technician Certification.A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.A minimum of four years' experience preferred but not required in installation of diverse HVAC systems.A valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier.Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through.Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.Function in a team environment and possess a willingness to effectively lead a team in a way that produces positive outcomes.Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.Physical Requirements :
Spends majority of time in the office addressing any problem issues and / or administrative needs.Occasionally works in outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).In the field, climbs ladders and steep stairs. Majority of time spent standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching. Often works in tight spaces such as attics and / or crawlspaces.In the field, must be able to lift 50 pounds with ability to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices).In the field, may occasionally works from heights up to 15 feet above ground.In the field, carries 24 ft extension ladder alone and / or 40 ft extension ladder with a fellow-coworker on most jobs.Have good visual acuity.Position Specific Standards :
