Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Bookkeeper to manage the financial transactions and records for Hillmuth Auto Care. This is a part-time position requiring 4 days per week, with typical shifts being 6 hours per day. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This is a vital role that ensures our financial systems are accurate, compliant, and optimized for success.
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Process and manage payroll for employees.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with our Chief Financial Officer and President, Scott Hillmuth, to meet company financial objectives.
- Travel between all four of our locations as needed.
- Support management with financial analysis and recommendations for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Experience: Experience in Bookkeeping, preferably in a small to medium-sized business.
- Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive.
- Familiarity with Dropbox, Zoom, and Splashtop Business (a remote desktop software for accessing business systems).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Knowledge of payroll systems (Quickbooks).
