Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Bookkeeper to manage the financial transactions and records for Hillmuth Auto Care. This is a part-time position requiring 4 days per week, with typical shifts being 6 hours per day. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This is a vital role that ensures our financial systems are accurate, compliant, and optimized for success.

Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
  • Process and manage payroll for employees.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with our Chief Financial Officer and President, Scott Hillmuth, to meet company financial objectives.
  • Travel between all four of our locations as needed.
  • Support management with financial analysis and recommendations for decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Experience in Bookkeeping, preferably in a small to medium-sized business.
  • Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive.
  • Familiarity with Dropbox, Zoom, and Splashtop Business (a remote desktop software for accessing business systems).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems (Quickbooks).

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
