POSITION TITLE
Forklift/Material Handler (Full Time – Non-Exempt)ROLE – 53-7062.00
Manually move freight, stock, luggage, or other materials, or perform other general labor. Includes all manual laborers not elsewhere classified.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, by hand or using hand trucks, forklift, or other equipment.
- Read picklist or receive oral instructions to gather materials or parts and deliver to the production lines.
- Ensure all parts are correctly labeled and identified with the proper information.
- Ensuring all parts are in designated areas according to company guidelines.
- Stack materials in appropriate locations, such as inventory shelving, outdoor staging areas, and production lines.
- Production support in assembly of kits, toolboxes and utility trailers as needed.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean warehouse.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Forklift experience required.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Ability to read and understand job orders and packing slips.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. by hand.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
COMMUNICATION: Ability to communicate effectively and clearly. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average conversations.
REPETITIVE MOTION: The employee is regularly required to sit and stand throughout the day.
FINGER DEXTERITY: The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to use a wide variety of tools and operating a forklift.
AVERAGE VISION: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (unassisted) as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods.
WORKING CONDITION
This position will be exposed to temperature extremes working outdoors in inclement weather along with exposure to shop elements such as dust, odors, fumes, or loud noise. This working environment is not climate controlled.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limitedstandardization.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions.
