Position Overview
Hillsboro Rush Soccer Club is seeking a dedicated Youth Soccer Coach to lead and develop a year-round competitive travel team for female athletes. This role requires expertise in coaching girls’ teams, including an understanding of the unique dynamics and developmental needs of female players. The coach will work closely with the Technical Director to identify talent, design effective training sessions, and foster a supportive and empowering environment for players. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage families are essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead two team training sessions per week and attend all league and tournament games.
- Collaborate with the Technical Director to select players during tryouts and manage team rosters.
- Develop structured and progressive training sessions, emphasizing skills and tactics aligned with the "Rush Way."
- Maintain accurate schedules in TeamSnap for training, games, and tournaments.
- Communicate with families via weekly emails (using a club-provided template) to update them on training focus, upcoming events, and player development.
- Attend club-mandated professional development programs, including meetings, on-field clinics, and development nights.
- Ensure compliance with SafeSport regulations and uphold professionalism in all interactions with players, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Licenses: USSF Grassroots, D, C, or B license (salary tiered by license level).
- Experience: Previous coaching experience with youth teams; familiarity with competitive soccer preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop players technically and tactically in a team setting.
- Commitment to SafeSport compliance and professional behavior.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $6,500–$15,000 per year, paid in 12 equal monthly installments, depending on license and experience.
Reimbursements:
- Out-of-state tournament travel: airfare, hotel, and mileage.
- Per diem of $35/day for full days at tournaments (excluding State, Presidents, or Founders Cup tournaments).
- Approved coaching education expenses.
