Position Summary:
Hiring Salary Range: $56,704.28 to $62,374.70 depending on qualifications.
Responsible for directing comprehensive clinical placement, compliance, and coordination for 2,000 Nursing students and Health Sciences students placed at any of 300 clinical sites. Clinical contracts for each of the Clinical sites must be evaluated and coordinated with the College Legal Department and monitored annually to for completeness and accurate prior to expiration date.
Job Duties:
- Negotiate & Manage 300 clinical affiliation agreements to ensure agreements reside in a central repository, are up to date and unique details are highlighted, and are accessible to appropriate college personnel.
- Develop and refine processes to ensure timely adherence/compliance of 2000 health sciences students with affiliation agreement requirements.
- Maintain contact with local and state regulatory agencies for requesting, documenting, and evaluation of annual background checks and drug screens for 2,000 students and approximately 150 faculty through Verified Credentials.
- Selecting, negotiating, implementing, and configuration of software with multiple vendors, (Verified Credentials, Castle Branch, My Clinical Exchange, E-Screen, and Contract Safe) for documentation of clinical readiness for all students and faculty.
- Oversee Fundable Certificate requirements through meticulous record keeping, timely payment processing, and comprehensive certification tracking for 600 professional certifications of graduates. This includes budget forecast. constant monitoring, and routine reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences.
- Provides leadership in the coordination of new student orientations for 15 Health Science programs with multiple start dates. This includes standardized orientation protocols, comprehensive informational resources, and personalized support mechanisms that vary between each program.
- Initiates, cultivates and maintains professional relationships with health system clinical educators, college clinical coordinators, and faculty to ensure student/instructor timely compliance, clinical site satisfaction, and overall successful clinical placement and experience.
- Oversee coordination and reporting of 700 prelicensure nursing students’ clinical placement and hospital onboarding requirements. This includes finding additional clinical placements through proactive and strategic networking.
- Lead the Hillsborough County Nursing Coordinating Council by collaborating with approximately 17 nursing programs and 10 clinical partners to establish the Hillsborough County Master Rotation for all nursing students (from all colleges) at all Hillsborough County hospitals.
- Recruits, interviews and selects operational staff. Provides training and evaluation for all unit staff.
Required Qualifications:
The position requires a master’s degree and at least one year of prior-related work experience.
