Summary :

The Control Clerk, Transportation, will review district drivers for compliance with licensing regulations and the safe driver plan. The Control Clerk, Transportation, will train employees on various programs and responsibilities.

DISTRICT EXPECTATIONS : All district employees must :

  • Maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensures records are established for all drivers of district vehicles.
  • Develops and maintains database for driver compliance with licensing.
  • Develops and maintains database for drug and alcohol testing.
  • Instructs employees on the safe driver plan, defensive driving and other areas as assigned.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all driver information.
  • Interacts with other governmental entities such as city, county, and state agencies.
  • Reviews Land Use Plans.
  • Reviews Traffic Safety Assessments.
  • Maintains control records and balances all incoming and outgoing documents to those records.
  • Checks all source documents to ensure readiness and correctness for data entry.
  • Converts items of information obtained from reports and other source documents to codes for processing by automated equipment.
  • Records codes on preprinted forms for transfer to data entry, assign production codes, and schedules due dates.
  • Reroutes records for correction, distributes corrected records to designated departments, audits outgoing work for format and correctness, and makes appropriate corrections.
  • Maintains appropriate files and records.
  • Provides research, finds requested information, answers appropriate questions, and interprets policies and procedures.
  • Prepares financial spreadsheets.
  • Performs basic computer skills such as keyboarding, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.
