What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admitting Rep and Receptionist | 2nd shift position at Hillsdale Hospital?
Work Schedule:
- 2nd shift, 2:00pm - 10:30pm
- Will work 5 days per week, mostly Monday-Friday
- Weekends and holidays on a rotation
- May sometimes rotate to 1st shift

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required; must meet the Michigan Merit Curriculum (MMC) graduation requirements
- Will consider an 18-year-old high school senior who will be graduating soon
- Prior knowledge of the admitting process preferred but not required
- Excellent computer and phone skills required
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
- Must have an excellent command of the English language, together with the ability to communicate with the general public in a courteous manner
- Required to work rotating weekend and holiday hours
- Must be able to carry out the timely and efficient handling of admissions and telephone calls
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
Responsibilities:
- Registers and pre-registers patients for HH services in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, keeping patients informed of any delays
- Operates Switchboard equipment and related systems
- Disbursement of registration paperwork
- Assists with up front collections of service fees
