What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Parts Inspector Assistant- Machine Shop position at Hillside Custom Machining and Fabrication?
Analyze and review all outgoing products to guarantee that that they all meet quality expectations. Will perform regular product evaluations and record inspection results. Must demonstrate great attention to detail with excellent technical and math abilities. Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of first pieces and finished products.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to perform accurate measurements.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records for quality assurance purposes.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement in processes and product quality.
- Provide feedback and recommendations based on inspection findings to enhance overall quality management.
Skills
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Ability to analyze data effectively and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
