Starting Salary Range: $20.14 - $26.00 per hour (depending on experience)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:

• Responsible for the overall supervision, care, and protection of clients and staff while on duty including clients in the Office of Refugee Resettlement Program, (Unidos), Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) and Residential/Outpatient Programs (Cares).
• Supporting client participation in the program in accordance with their needs, interest, and abilities as well as assisting clients in safely managing problems or conflicts in the milieu
• Collaborates with unit supervisors to support planned activities
• Provides oversight and supervision over procedures and policies associated with the Campus Support office
• Triages client crises
• Liases with external stake holders such as local law enforcement and first responders during calls for support and in the instances of crisis for youth in the ORR program (Unidos) contacting required individuals within ORR.
• Initiates, completes, and tracks Missing Persons Reports
• Maintains physical presence at the campus at all times
• Provide supervisory and administrative support for child care staff if unit supervisor is absent from the campus as well as facilitate staffing reassignments when necessary to secure coverage and ratio
• Responding to acting out behaviors of resident clients with trauma-informed interventions including runaways, substance use, and behavioral challenges. 
• Involvement with crisis intervention and crisis response
• Oversight of routine checks of the campus and cottages
• Utilization of behavioral management techniques (Pro-ACT) to ensure client and staff safety.
• Screening all off-campus trips in collaboration with unit supervisors
• Be made aware of and screen visitors to the campus
• Coordinate disaster preparedness procedures in the event of natural disasters, medical emergencies, campus lockdown, evacuations, and fire
• Provides oversight and approval for line of sight supervision
• Greet external stakeholders who are transporting youth being admitted to the ORR program (Unidos) such as border patrol agents, transportation specialists and/or staff members transferring clients into the ORR program.
• Supporting with searching belongings of newly admitted clients to the ORR program to ensure important documents are safely stored for the case management team and prohibited items are safely stored with cottage leadership.
• Supporting with facilitating ORR (Unidos) client discharges that occur during the shift by obtaining and providing signatures as needed and storing documents to be uploaded to the case file by members of the case management team.
• Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a child care agency preferred
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff & provide leadership
• Valid California driver's license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
