Join Our Compassionate Team as a Resident Care Director (RCD)
Are you an experienced and dedicated individual ready to oversee resident care and lead a team of direct care staff? Join us as a Resident Care Director and become an integral part of our compassionate community.
Description: The RCD has frequent contact with residents and must learn and perform all tasks of supervised staff (CRMA & AIDE / PSS work). This position requires the RCD to work closely with the facility Administrator and other team members on staff management, procedure enforcement, and other tasks required to maintain a smoothly operating facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train direct care staff to ensure high-quality resident care.
- Oversee all resident care, medication management, and address general resident needs.
- Communicate frequently with Corporate RNs, residents' physicians, and the pharmacy for coordinated care.
- Handle staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage for resident care needs.
- Manage incident reporting and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform other employee management tasks, including interviewing and training.
- Provide some shift coverage as needed to support the team.
Requirements:
- Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Proficient in general computer usage and specific programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and similar software.
- Prior supervisory experience is essential.
- Must have a current CRMA and PSS or CRMA and CNA certification.
- Prior experience in healthcare or long-term care settings is required.
- Must work well with others, be willing to work a flexible schedule, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with individuals from varied backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with strong role modeling techniques.
