Hilltop Springs Senior Living is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll and Recruiting Specialist to join our team.
Job Overview:
As the Payroll and Recruiting Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the payroll process, supporting recruitment efforts, and overseeing the training requirements for our senior living facility. This includes processing payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, recruiting and retaining top talent, and tracking monthly training and CEUs (Continuing Education Units) in accordance with Title 22 regulations. You will work closely with management and staff to create a positive and efficient environment that supports both our residents and team members.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure all payroll-related records are properly maintained and compliant with company policies and regulations.
- Address payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with tax and benefit deductions, garnishments, and other payroll-related tasks.
- Maintain and update employee data in the payroll system.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Coordinate the recruitment cycle including job postings, resume screening, new hire orientation, onboarding, etc.
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract top talent, with a focus on staff for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care departments.
- Build and maintain relationships with staffing agencies, job boards, and local organizations to ensure a steady flow of candidates.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a seamless onboarding process for all new employees.
Training & Compliance:
- Oversee monthly training programs for all staff in accordance with Title 22 regulations, ensuring that all required training and certifications are completed.
- Track and monitor Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for all employees, ensuring compliance with state regulations and facility standards.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, employee certifications, and ensure timely updates and renewals.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions, including mandatory courses, as well as optional professional development opportunities.
Employee Relations & Support:
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding payroll questions, recruitment updates, training requirements, and HR-related matters.
- Assist in employee performance management and retention strategies.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in payroll processing and/or recruiting, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
- Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycor, etc.) and recruiting platforms (really, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Knowledge of Title 22 regulations and experience in tracking and monitoring CEUs is highly preferred.
