Position Summary:
We are seeking an IT Website Support Intern to join our centralized IT team in our Dallas, Texas office for Summer 2025. This role will support the IT and Marketing teams by assisting with website maintenance, troubleshooting, content updates, and performance optimization across internal and external-facing websites. The ideal candidate will have a passion for web technology, a strong attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support frontend and/ or backend website development tasks as assigned.
- Assist with website updates, ensuring content is accurate, current, and aligned with brand standards.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of website-related issues (broken links, display errors, etc.)
- Test web applications across different browsers and devices for compatibility.
- Assist with researching new solutions and/ or tools, as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and CMS platforms such as WordPress or Sitecore.
- Familiarity with a code editor (Visual Studio, VS Coded, Dreamweaver, etc.) and a browser inspector (Chrom or Edge DevTools).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Comfortable utilizing website analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar
- Excellent attention to detail, especially in proofreading and formatting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Comfortable handling confidential information in a professional manner
- Ability and willingness to work in-office full-time.
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Web Design, Digital Media, or a related field
- Prior coursework or hands-on experience with web content or IT support preferred
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, DNN, other), Basic SEO principles, Basic DevOps and. Or Git & GitHub preferred.
- Minimum 3.5 GPA preferred.
- Rising Sophomore or Junior preferred.
