A Typical Day
To monitor and facilitate compliance with Hilmar Cheese Company quality standards and requirements for the manufacture, storage, delivery, testing, and usage of materials and services that directly impact the food safety and / or quality of finished HCC products.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the ongoing development of the vendor auditing program including risk assessments.
- Perform initial and ongoing audits for vendor manufacturing, storage, transportation and 3rd party lab testing.
- Develop and manage procedures for the evaluation of incoming supplies
- Review and approve material planning and control specifications for raw materials while working closely with multiple departments
- Responsible for auditing procedures to release incoming supplies for usage and to track inventories for proper rotation and storage
- Participate in internal and external mock recalls
- Complete audit visit reports in a timely manner
- Facilitate communication on supplier non-conformance
- Assist in customer, third party, and regulatory audits as needed
- Collection and maintenance of vendor documentation
- Management of supplier / service provider Cause & Correction program
