The Level 1 I.T. Technician will be responsible for monitoring the help desk ticket queue and help desk phone line, resolving tickets within established SLA times, or escalating them to other team members as necessary. This position requires frequent travel from our Powell office to job sites throughout Columbus to troubleshoot with end users. HIlscher-Clarke is seeking an upbeat dependable technician who is driven by a strong desire to help others. The first three days of training will take place at our headquarters in Canton, Ohio, then continue at our office in Powell, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring helpdesk ticket queue and resolving user issues.
- Answering the helpdesk phone line to help resolve end user issues.
- Documenting steps completed in each ticket.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, operating system, and software issues.
- Installing and configuring software to Hilscher-Clarke set standards.
- Deploying, replacing, and migrating devices for users such as laptops, phones, iPads.
- Setting up and maintaining user accounts and profiles.
- Traveling onsite to job locations Hilscher-Clarke is working at to help electricians with equipment.
- Maintaining work area cleanliness.
- Testing and evaluating new technology.
- Identifying common helpdesk issues and creating knowledgebase articles for users or techs.
- Maintaining documentation and asset tracking records for end user and department use.
Skills Required
- An upbeat welcoming personality focused on helping the end user and fellow employees.
- Ability to follow documentation to complete tasks/tickets.
- Experience supporting Chrome OS, Windows 10, Android, and IOS devices.
- Familiarity with GSuite, Microsoft Office, and Apple products.
- Proficient understanding of Windows Domain, Remote Desktop Services, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
- Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact with end users to establish what the problem is then walk them through the solution.
- Ability to work well in a small team or independently with remaining calm under pressure.
- Ability to think logically with good problem solving attitude and skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to users in terms they would understand either face to face, over email, or over the phone.
Experience:
- 4 years of previous tech experience or associates degree of related field.
- A , net , or any cisco certs
