Next Level Technologies is a fast-growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Columbus, Ohio, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 3 Technician to join our team. As a Level 3 Technician, you will be responsible for handling the most complex technical issues, providing expert-level support, and leading the troubleshooting and resolution of advanced IT problems for our clients. You will also assist in guiding and mentoring lower-level technicians, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of client needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved by Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
- Lead and troubleshoot critical infrastructure problems, including servers, networking equipment, cloud environments, and advanced software systems.
- Provide deep technical expertise in areas such as networking, server administration, and IT security.
- Lead disaster recovery planning, data backups, and restore procedures.
- Collaborate with the sales and project teams on IT deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
- Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and processes within the service desk platform.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians, helping them develop their skills and ensuring consistent service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Extensive experience as a Level 3 Technician or similar role, ideally within an MSP or managed services environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Linux/Unix environments, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and network authentication methods.
- Deep understanding of networking such as protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, and switching.
- Expertise in cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including deployment and management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and enterprise applications.
- Strong experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies and best practices.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications in the Microsoft arena or Cybersecurity (ISC2 preferred)
- Experience with MSP tools such as PSA and RMM
- Experience with VoIP systems and support.
