Revel, adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Downtown is searching for a Chef to lead their culinary team. Revel is a refined American restaurant located steps from Market Square and offers a casual dining menu, seasonal outdoor seating and handcrafted drinks. The Chef oversees culinary operations and some of their duties include:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Supervise/Lead the Culinary department
- Functional hands-on leader working side by side with the team
- Recruit/hire for the Culinary department
- Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards and collaborate with the F&B Manager
- Responsible for communicating to all departments about the restaurant.
- Perform administrative duties
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to train others and lead a team.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to consistently organize workloads to meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient skills in math and financial management including labor and food cost controls.
- Must be able to work within required systems.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding people skills
- Must be available nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Experience:
- Two or more years of progressive experience in a senior culinary leadership role
- Banquet experience
