As a breakfast attendant at Hilton Garden Inn, your primary responsibility is to ensure a pleasant dining experience for hotel guests during breakfast service. Your duties may include:
1. Set-Up: Arranging and organizing the breakfast buffet area, including tables, chairs, utensils, and food stations, ensuring they are clean and presentable.
2. Food Preparation: Assisting with the preparation of breakfast items such as hot and cold beverages, cereals, pastries, bread, fruits, and other breakfast foods according to established recipes and standards.
3. Buffet Maintenance: Continuously monitoring the buffet area to ensure all food items are stocked, fresh, and visually appealing. Restocking items as needed and maintaining an attractive presentation throughout the breakfast service.
4. Customer Service: Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance, answering questions, and ensuring guests' needs are met. Being knowledgeable about menu items and able to make recommendations when requested.
5. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintaining a clean and sanitary breakfast area at all times. This includes regularly cleaning and sanitizing tables, chairs, utensils, serving equipment, and food display areas. Adhering to proper food handling and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination.
6. Guest Assistance: Assisting guests with special dietary requirements or restrictions by providing suitable alternatives or accommodations when necessary.
7. Inventory Control: Monitoring and recording food and beverage inventory levels, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor. Assisting with inventory replenishment and storage as needed.
