Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests enjoy a delightful breakfast experience. This position involves preparing and serving breakfast items, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and providing excellent customer service. The Breakfast Attendant will work closely with kitchen staff and management to uphold food safety standards and create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Duties
- Prepare and set up breakfast items, including hot and cold dishes, pastries, fruits, and beverages.
- Ensure all food is presented attractively and replenished as needed throughout the breakfast service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area by bussing tables, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring all utensils and dishes are properly sanitized.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives for food preparation.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist guests with any dietary needs or preferences while providing friendly service.
- Manage the cash register for any breakfast-related transactions when necessary.
- Collaborate with catering staff for special events or banquets as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safety standards is highly desirable.
- Experience as a dietary aide or in catering services can be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and service are important for success in this role.
- Must have or be willing to be obtain a Food Handlers Certificate
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Hepatitis A Vaccine
