Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented houseman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility. This position involves handling laundry operations efficiently while ensuring that all linens and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. The houseman will contribute to the overall guest experience in our hospitality environment, whether in a hotel or healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist housekeeping in keeping all areas of the hotel clean and presentable for our guests.
- Maintain the hotel's high standards of cleanliness in all public spaces of the hotel.
- Complete all daily tasks set by the housekeeping supervisor and hotel management.
- Daily tasks include dusting all surfaces, washing windows, sanitizing bathrooms, mopping floors, taking out trash, vacuuming, cleaning elevators, cleaning up outside grounds and parking lot.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
Experience
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices within a hotel or hospitality environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning practices is required.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
