What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook I position at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace?
Description
The Hilton Madison Monona Terrace hotel is in search of a Line Cook to join our team! We are looking for a candidate to join the culinary team with little to some experience in a kitchen environment. They will be expected to have basic knife skills, an understanding of sanitation, basic organizational skills, and have the ability to read and follow recipes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Set up equipment and supplies prior to service.
- Read food orders and quickly prepare food while following provided recipe
- Prepare food for employee meal
- Inventory perishable foods and notify managers of expiring products
- Prepare banquet as requested by the client
- Make sure coolers are cleaned, organized and locked and the end of the day
- Correctly store food - use proper labeling and rotation
- Maintain food service standards, before, during, and after service
- Perform all other duties as assigned
