Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Welcomes and connects with every customer to provide excellent customer service.
- Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests product with every customer to enhance service and meet sales goals.
- Assists customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales ( as applicable)
- Responds to customers needs and says thank you to every customer.
- Maintains customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner
- Demonstrates “ just say yes” behavior when taking care of customer needs
- Prepares a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and coffee of the week to Starbucks standards.
- Follows store policies and procedures for operational flow at each station
- Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with the Duty Rosters and cleaning standards and works as a store team player.
- Presents oneself professionally ad demonstrates clear communication by using start skills with all customers and partner interactions
- Follows standards for merchandising, stoking, rotating, and storing all products.
- Performance equipment maintenance in accordance with preventive maintenance checklist.
- Follows cash handling and register policies.
- Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines
- Learns and demonstrates creating the Starbucks experience
- Learns and demonstrates all performance standards by completing initial store training and passing barista certification with a score of 90% or better.
Abilities Required
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to use point of sale. Ability to lift/carry weight up to 50 pounds. Ability to push/and pull carts of products weighing up to 150 pounds.
