- To provide personal attention to the guests.
- To maintain a sense of order and efficiency for spa operations via proper scheduling of guest and staff appointments to ensure a superior level of guest satisfaction.
- To ensure a pleasant visit for each guest.
- Knowledge of all treatments and products and is able to explain to guests and team
- To ensure the retail shop is fully stocked and merchandised at all times.
- To maintain the cleanliness of the retail area.
- Works with accounting to resolve any billing problems.
- Recommended and participates in the retail sales.
- Prepares appointment cards for guests and sells spa gift cards.
- Monitors all monies for services, retail sales.
- Maintains inventory needs and supplies for the reception/front desk.
- Works cooperatively and professionally with all departments.
- Prepare all receipts for services and retail sales when necessary.
- Performs special projects as required by the Spa Director and/or MOD.
- Attends any meetings with other departments at the spa or the resort which can help promote business.
- Monitors trouble-shooting needs.
- Issues robes, slippers, lockers and locker keys for guests taking services when necessary.
- Conducts tours of the facility.
- All physical skills listed for each support position must be able to be achieved and
- accurately demonstrated or coached by the Spa Director.
- Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
- The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Must be able to concentrate, exert good judgment and be flexible since the desk is a very busy area and the focal point of the spa.
- Must have a good "telephone voice and manner"
- Must have basic math skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must possess the skill required to perform various secretarial functions as necessary
- Must be proficient in sales and guest service
- Must have business skills in management
- Must have the ability to work under pressure without letting that pressure show to the guest
- Must exhibit a sincere desire and ability to work well with people, assess their needs and be able to provide assistance
- Must possess the conflict resolution skills necessary to evaluate treatment quality and guests’ complaints
- Must be able to listen, communicate and assess situations with accuracy
- Must be goal and result-oriented while simultaneously being a problem solver
- Must have the desire to stay continually “in tune” with the spa industry as it progresses
